Hello :) My name is Coral! I'm currently 19 years old, with a passion for life, disney, people, and photography. I've been a photographer for almost 3 years now, and am continuing to build my portfolio as we speak! It's the best job ever ;) I'm very creative and I love expressing myself in anyway possible. Writing helps me do that. Granted I don't write as much as I used to, but I'd like to get back into it. The World According To Coral is just a thing I'm doing to write my personal opinions on things. Whether I see it in the news, it happens to one of my friends/family members, something happens to me personally, or something just comes across my mind, I'll be writing about it. So it's kind of like a public journal really. I hope everyone enjoys pondering life and the world we live in with me :)

Can you say...Sweet 16?! :]

That's right! I said it! It's my sweet 16 today :]

So my mom asked me a pretty good question today. Why I thought sixteen was the big birthday. Why not eighteen?

My response was that sixteen is the middle point. You're still a teenager, not quite an adult, and what makes it fun is you have a lot more freedom without too much responsibility. Such as working and having to pay bills...etc.

Sixteen, for me, is also the age you know yourself better then any other time in your life. You're more so the person you're going to be for the rest of your life then when you were younger. In other words, you're all grown up, without being too grown up! You have a good idea of what you want to do in life. You've set goals for yourself and plan on making each goal turn into a success.

All in all, I think it's just a blessing really to have been able to live 16 years on this earth. I've been able to do so much, and I've met so many amazing people in my lifetime. I can't wait for the journey that God has planned for me :]

    It's been a fun and interesting 16 years with you around! I know I always say I could've been the last kid, but Lord knows my life just wouldn't be as funny without ALL my siblings in it!

    Happy Sweet 16! Coral. I pray that you continued to express yourself by staying as true to who you are as possible! Don't worry about the nay-sayers or the "fake" questions...you know who you are and that is what matters! Stay strong, stay encouraged, stay blessed!
