Hello :) My name is Coral! I'm currently 19 years old, with a passion for life, disney, people, and photography. I've been a photographer for almost 3 years now, and am continuing to build my portfolio as we speak! Check out some of my work :) http://www.facebook.com/CoralMaePhotography Fun fact about me - I am also a photographer at the Walt Disney World resort in Magic Kingdom park! IAnd yes, you guessed it! It's the best job ever ;) I'm very creative and I love expressing myself in anyway possible. Writing helps me do that. Granted I don't write as much as I used to, but I'd like to get back into it. The World According To Coral is just a thing I'm doing to write my personal opinions on things. Whether I see it in the news, it happens to one of my friends/family members, something happens to me personally, or something just comes across my mind, I'll be writing about it. So it's kind of like a public journal really. I hope everyone enjoys pondering life and the world we live in with me :)

Goodbye 2013 - Hello 2014!

Goodbye 2013!

January 1st, 2014, can you believe it's here already? Everyone has partied, sang, danced, cried, kissed, and yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR! Now, today is the day where everything changes. It's a new year, new you. Everyone has made their own resolutions, and made certain goals for themselves this year. We all do it every year to try and make the new year a better one than the last. Before we talk about that though, I have some things to say about 2013!

2013 did wonders for me. It made me sad to see it go, yet refreshed to have the chance to have a clean slate. In 2013, I was blessed with many opportunities. Goals were achieved and many dreams came true. Overall it was a crazy, yet amazing ride. I met some of the most amazing people, and did some of the most crazy things. I'll certainly never forget it.

I definitely grew as a person, and matured a lot more this past year. My heart has finally healed from some things that had happened in the past. It started in June, where I found myself truly on the path to finding myself again. I had to climb a few mountains, but I'm incredibly happy with where I am today, and the person I'm growing into. As a good friend of mine said, "I'm not going to post about everything that happened in 2013, because the moments don't matter.  It's the people who are with you when those moments happen that are important."

So to 2013 and everyone who came into my life during this past year, and to those of you who have stayed in my life from previous years, - thank you! Whether your time in my life was temporary or permanent for the time being, I want you all to know that you mean the world to me and I couldn't have gotten trough this year without you!

Welcome 2014!

I brought in the new year with a few close friends, and a lot of new ones. We had a masquerade, learned some new dances, and overall had a blast hanging out and enjoying everyones company. At the stroke of 12 we all yelled Happy New Year. There was a ton of hugs, kisses and well wishes being passed around. Most of us hadn't know each other for long, but there is something wonderful about a new year that really brings people together.

The host of the party, and my wonderful friend Nick, had an incredible idea. He had paper lanterns for everyone and had us write our new year wishes on them. To sum mine up, I wished for the courage to take my life by the reigns and do something different. To be able to step away from my comfort zone and enjoy life with the same passion and positivity I've had since I was a kid.

This year I'll be turning 20. That's young still I know, but I feel it's time for me to be on my own. Take chances, make mistakes and get messy! I'm ready to laugh until I cry, love passionately, and share my happiness with the world! I'm ready for some new changes. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly nervous, but I know that with my incredible family and friends supporting me, I have nothing holding me back!

When the clock stroke 12, we lit those lanterns and set them free into the night sky. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and I had my first dream of 2014 come true. I finally had my Rapunzel moment, and was able to finally see the light!

My year is off to an amazing start, and things can still only go up from here! I'm so beyond excited to see what this year has in store for me. I can feel some big changes coming, and I can't wait!

Once again, to all my friends and family - I love you all and
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
